Love is in the air, and it’s got me thinking back to some of the most romantic vacations I’ve ever been on. Traveling with a partner is romantic enough to begin with, but there are certain cities out there that are particularly worth visiting when you’re feeling romantic.
Sydney, in particular, is worth a visit because there’s so much there for young (and old) lovers to see and experience. Here are just a few of the things that I’d recommend during your visit.
Romantic Sydney Vacation
1. Take A Harbour Cruise
One of the best decisions I ever made was to take a cruise from Sydney harbour to see the city from the sea. You can have a fantastic time just traveling around the harbour, but it also makes a great base of operations and allows you to travel around anywhere that your heart desires.
2. Relax On The Beach
Sydney is home to more than its fair share of beautiful beaches, and many of them are in secluded locations which will allow you to spend some time together without having to worry about the crowds. Just make sure that you don’t burn in the sun!
3. Visit the Opera House
You can’t visit Sydney without first visiting the world-famous Opera House. They host over 40 events every week, which means that you’re sure to be able to find something to suit both you and your partner’s taste. Tickets are pretty reasonably priced, too!

4. Hire A Helicopter
This is one of the slightly pricier options, but it’s great fun and a truly unforgettable experience. Check out some of the different helicopter hire firms and enjoy a romantic moment viewing the city from the air.
5. Go For A Walk
If seeing the city from the air isn’t enough, you can see the city from the streets instead. There’s no shortage of different guided walk providers, but there’s also no reason why you can’t just strike off on your own and explore the city for yourself. I’d particularly recommend taking a walk along the waterways!
6. Hit Up The Shops
How romantic are you feeling? Sydney is a great place to go shopping for an engagement ring, but it’s also a great place to shop for trinkets and knick-knacks that you can take home with you as a reminder of your time in the romantic Australian city.
7. Hit Up The Restaurants
Sydney is home to some of the finest food hotspots in the world, and you can have yourself many a romantic meal in the city’s eateries. Just be warned that some of the more upmarket restaurants have long waiting lists, and so you may need to book your dinner in advance.
Conclusion
Hopefully, the ideas that we’ve shared today have been enough to give you a few ideas of what to do during your romantic Sydney vacation. Now it’s your turn to customize this itinerary and to plan a romantic Sydney vacation for you and your loved one. Happy travels!
